Angels are ministering Spirits sent to
serve those who will inherit salvation. Heb.1:14. They are God’s messengers
sent by him to bring his purpose to pass on earth either directly or via man as
medium. The ministry of Angels is confirmed in the scriptures and each Angel is
on assignment to fulfill a particular purpose. This is evident all through the
bible. Let’s navigate through:
* Angels rejoiced in the beginning of creation. Infact, God gave them assignments of
bringing things into being. The process of creation is evidently an interaction
between
God and these Spirit beings…God commanded and they brought to
actualization. ‘Let
there be light’ occur several times in Genesis 1. Verse 26
makes it plain that God was
communicating commands. Job 38:7.
* Angel helped Hagar discover water for Ismael to drink. Genesis 21:17-19.
* An Angel helped Isaac obtain a wife. Genesis 24:7.
* Angels journeyed with Jacob and protected him from all harms. Gen. 28:12, 48:15-
16.
* An Angel encouraged Moses to rescue the Israelites from slavery. Exodus 3:2.
* Angel led and protected the Israelites when they left Egypt. Exodus 23:20-21.
* An Angel prevented Balaam from cursing the Israelites. Numbers 22:21-35.
* Angel encouraged Gideon to fight for deliverance of God’s People. Judges 6:11-12.
* Angel helped Elijah and also killed the Assyrian Soldiers. 1 Kings 19:5-8, 2 Kings
19:35.
* Angel rescued the three Hebrews from fire and Daniel from lions. Dan.3:28, 6:22.
* Angel announced the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. Luke 1:11-20, 26-37.
* Angels were around Jesus in the desert. Mark 1:12-13.
* An Angel brings healing. John 5:4.
* Angel was involved in the resurrection of Christ. Matt. 28:2-7.
* Angel released the Apostles from Prison and also Peter. Acts 5:18-19,12:1-11.
* Angel visits us. Hebrew 13:2.
* Angels worship God in heaven. Rev.5:1-14.
* During rapture, Angels would be actively involved. 1 thess.4:16.
help us achieve our goals on earth.
They are strong indispensable beings positioned to
help the believers.
Nevertheless, we’re not obligated to worship them because we shall
